First hallucination.
The acceleration is evident.
From “by 2030”, my vision has shifted to late 2027.
For a company, migrating from an old AS400 management system, VB6 software, or a layered ERP has always been an expensive nightmare.
The new catalyst for everything will be AI. If it zeroes out the cost of refactoring — translating old logic into modern applications — the cloud giants will present clients with an irresistible proposal: “Give us your source code, configurations, screenshots of your systems. We’ll rebuild your program, web-based, hosted on our servers. No more hardware, no more systems expenses, no more maintenance. Just a monthly fee. We handle everything.”
Offering integrated hosting is the perfect strategy to cut out the entire intermediate chain: system integrators, local software houses, and systems consultants. Clients will no longer face barriers to leaving legacy systems. The leap to the cloud will become inevitable.
The major providers no longer want to sell space alone (IaaS/PaaS). They want to become the logical and application infrastructure itself for companies and absorb your productive capacity within their systems, turning the convenience of integration into a technological prison from which escape is impossible.
